Prayer is a vital practice for all believers. It is a source of strength and guidance as we navigate life's circumstances. Through prayer, we can approach God with our hopes, fears, questions, and gratitude. In this series, we will grow and learn to pray together, experiencing God’s hope and healing in the process. We’ve developed a 9-week study guide to correspond with this series – pick one up in the foyer beginning December 29!

We also will be hosting weekly onsite prayer meetings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from January 7–February 28 during the series.

Our vision at Northwest is that by 2026, we will be having thousands of surprisingly easy-to-start conversations about Jesus all over our city because we are convinced, where God has us is where Jesus is!

To create momentum around our vision, in 2022 we launched our Conversations Hub! This mobile website allows us to see exactly WHERE God has us all over our city to have conversations about Jesus and celebrate those together. We've LOVED getting to celebrate all of the conversations that are being pinned on the map throughout the week!

Tuesdays starting January 14, 6 – 9 PM | Northwest Community Center

Northwest is excited to offer the Perspectives course at the Northwest Community Center! Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson discipleship course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. The course examines the story of God fulfilling His promises from four vantage points or “perspectives” — Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic.

Thursdays starting January 16, 12 – 1 PM | Northwest Community Center

Join us for a weekly lunch and conversation hour with refugee men learning English! This is a wonderful platform to build relationships with refugees navigating life in a new culture. Lunch is included for both volunteers and refugee neighbors.

Friday starting January 17, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Northwest Community Center

By serving as a Conversation Partner, you can help empower refugees to begin life in a new culture. In the process, you have the opportunity to build friendships with our Vickery Meadow neighbors. Volunteers will be given a list of questions to use as a springboard for conversation to help refugee women practice speaking English.

By serving as an academic tutor, you have a front row seat in helping students achieve academic success. As you spend time with middle and high school students, you empower and help them establish a pathway to excel both in school and life.

Come and be part of discipling the next generation. As a volunteer you have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with middle and high school students and have conversations that are relevant to their life and faith. We play fun games, have great conversations and eat!

By working with our after-school program, you are empowering children to thrive in a new culture by helping them progress academically. You have the opportunity to develop a relationship with them, assist them on the way to success in life, and invite them into conversations about Jesus.

Northwest Community Center holds a monthly baby shower for refugee women in Vickery Meadow during the Resource Distribution event. Expecting mothers are invited to celebrate their upcoming birth as their due date approaches. This event serves as a wonderful opportunity to bless and connect with refugee neighbors.

Kids Camp is four days of overnight camp focused on building relationships between kids, leaders, and their churches and helping kids learn more about following Jesus. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn more about the gospel in a fun, community-centered environment, no matter where they currently are in their walk with Christ.

MomCo (previously MOPS) is a non-profit organization that encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women, and leaders in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church. Join other moms at Northwest as you strive to live passionately, build endurance, and become open to receive what God has for you this year.

These nights are designed to help kids learn about Jesus in a fun, relaxed environment! Each week, kids aged 0 – 5th Grade can expect to hear a practical lesson about Jesus and their faith and enjoy a fun and exciting time together.

Grief Share is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Join us every Thursday evening from 6:30-8pm for a 13-week video curriculum and hear leaders share their own stories of grief and hope. This is a free, open group program that you can join at any time.
