James: What Does Faith Do?

A study through the book of James.

Synopsis

Is your faith being tested?

The book of James begins by encouraging us that trials that test our faith produce steadfastness. We can meet those trials with joy, knowing God is completing His work in us.

But James also warns us that faith without works is dead.

So, what does faith “do”?

It does not merely hear, think, speak, and absorb. It moves beyond those to produce action. Faith endures, obeys, speaks truth, and practices the fruits of the Spirit. Faith does not stand by and simply believe. Faith puts belief into visible action. Is your faith working? Let’s commit together to digging into where God is calling us to put our faith into action. The world is waiting for our acts of faith to establish Christ’s Kingdom here on earth.

Scripture journals for the book of James were mailed to our church body along with a reading plan for the sermon series.
If you did not receive a journal and would like one, you can order it online!
