Light of the World: His Promise, Our Calling 

 

March 29, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM | CLC 

 

Join us at our spring day retreat, Light of the World! Bible teacher Jen Wilkin will help you better understand the promise Jesus made and the calling He has given you to be light.

 

Register now for a day to connect, grow, and recharge.
  • Connect with new and old friends around the table as you discuss Jen’s teaching and participate in breakout sessions led by Northwest women and friends.
  • Grow as you discover Biblical truth and consider how to live it out.
  • Recharge and renew your heart through worship, teaching, and fellowship, so you can continue shining your light for Jesus.

 

Early Bird Registration | $40 | Ends February 26

Regular Registration | $55 | Ends March 20

Price includes Saturday breakfast, lunch and sessions.

Childcare | $20 per child | Childcare registration ends on March 20.

Saturday Morning Breakouts:

BEGINNER MAHJONG | Andrea Fuquay will teach the basics of this fun, popular game and help you get started playing.

 

COLOR THEORY: HIGHLIGHTING YOUR GOD-GIVEN BEAUTY | Andrea Stewart, House of Color stylist, will discuss the basics of color theory and how the right colors enhance our natural beauty and help us to show up with confidence.

 

ENCOURAGEMENT THROUGH WATERCOLOR | Bob Ann Talkington and Morella Klimacek will lead you through painting and crafting a card you can use to bless someone who needs encouragement.

 

HEARTS AGLOW: ILLUMINATING REFUGEE JOURNEYS & SHOWER OF BLESSINGS SERVICE PROJECT | Faith Michael will share about refugees and their challenges and then lead you in in a heartwarming service project to bless expecting refugee moms.

 

HIS LIGHT ON OUR IDENTITY | Debby Smith will take you on a treasure hunt to uncover our Identity in Christ in practical terms.

 

A HOUSE IN ORDER, A HEART OF PEACE | Angie Aranda will help you discover how creating order in your home can bring a sense of peace to your heart and mind.

 

REKINDLING YOUR GOD-GIVEN SPARK LOST THROUGH MOTHERHOOD | Heather MacFadyen will provide encouragement when you feel stuck in this season of motherhood. She’ll share insight from past podcast guests and her own mom journey to help you rediscover your God-given spark and shine in the spaces He's given you to occupy.

 

SHINE HIS LIGHT THROUGH YOUR WRITTEN WORDS | Dr. Sue Edwards will lead you in a practical workshop to discover opportunities to make a difference for Jesus using words, begin to identify your message, and learn to tighten up your wordsmithing.

 

 

Saturday Afternoon Breakouts:

CRAFTY CREATIONS WORKSHOP- Luci Sandate will guide you in making a simple spring craft as you chat with other women during in this fun, creative workshop.

HOW TO IMPACT OTHERS THROUGH MENTORING | Allison Mauelshagen and friends dispel myths about mentoring, define what it actually is, and explain why you’re more qualified than you think you are!

 

INTERMEDIATE MAHJONG | Play mahjong—the game will not be taught—and get to know other women from Northwest who already know the game.  Led by Andrea Fuquay.

 

THE INTERSECTION OF YOUR IDENTITY & SPIRITUAL GIFTING | Kristen Ainsworth will share about how and why God gifted you to be a gift to the Body of Christ and how you can more fully live out your identity and gifting.

 

THE POWER OF STORY TELLING | Sue Bailey will teach you 4 key skills for compelling storytelling that builds bridges with people of different audiences such as work, family, and friends. 

 

3 PRACTICES FOR KINGDOM LIVING | Lynn Hoffmann will show how the spiritual practices of pausing, noticing, and praying can help you reclaim the peace and joy stolen by this chaotic life and free you to be the “light of the world."
