Middle School Prep Class

As sad as we are for kids to leave elementary, we know it’s good and exciting for them to step into their middle school years! These preteens are going to experience a mountain of change as they transition to this next stage of life, and we want to help prepare them and point them to the God who never changes as their anchor point.

Our goal for our Middle School Prep Class is to prepare and encourage kids for the transition into 6th grade and introduce them to a few exciting aspects of our Middle School Ministry. This class is for all 5th graders and will take place during both the 9 & 10:35 AM services every Sunday from July 19 – August 9.

Over this four-week series, we’ll take a look at five challenges kids face in middle school and give them five “cheat codes” and scriptures to overcome them, preparing them for middle school both in and outside of church. Handouts and resources will also be provided for kids to take home each week, addressing the challenges of change, emotions, growing responsibility, stress and anxiety, and the unknown.

No registration needed; kids can come to church as normal!

We’d love for you to join us for a lunch for kids and parents in the Children’s Building at 12 PM on Sunday, August 9, to connect, hear more about what kids have learned in the class, and get a preview of what to expect in our Middle School ministry!
