Heart2Heart Mentoring
Description
Ready to open your heart to a new friendship?
Serve as a mentor or be paired with one! God can use your relationship to encourage you both to love Jesus faithfully and follow him in everyday life.
At Northwest, we aim to encourage women’s spiritual growth through supportive relationships with sisters in Christ (Titus 2:3-5). Mentoring partners or triads will seek to develop a friendship, and they typically meet in person once a month and connect via text or call in between meetings.
Each mentoring pair or triad will decide for themselves how to use their time together.
Here are ideas:
- Read and discuss a book together
- Read Scripture or memorize a passage together
- Chat informally about what is going on in your lives
- Discuss the Northwest core questions related to our church values.
No matter what shape your time together takes, sharing prayer requests and praying together will be an important way to spur each other on to grow in Christ.
Important to Remember:
If you’re considering serving as a mentor, rest assured that you don’t have to have it all together or be perfect! You just need to give the gift of presence and have a listening ear. If you’re a prospective mentee, remember that a mentor is not a counselor, but she can pray for you and seek to encourage you!
Register now to be matched when the Heart 2 Heart committee meets in September.
